Google has finally launched its Pixel Fold at Google’s I/O conference. The Pixel fold will complete with Samsung’s Galaxy Fold 4 and Oppo Find N2. Both of which are premium foldable smartphones.
The Pixel Fold has a unique folding design, a powerful processor, a large storage capacity, a high-quality camera, a fingerprint sensor, and many other exciting features. Let’s delve deeper into each of these aspects of the phone.

Google Pixel Fold Design and Display
Design and Display When folded, the Pixel Fold measures 139.7 x 79.5 x 12.1 mm, and 139.7 x 158.7 x 5.8 mm when unfolded. It weighs 283g and is IPX8 rated for water resistance (but not dust resistant).
The external screen is a 5.8-inch 1080×2092 17.4:9 120 Hz OLED with Gorilla Glass Victus on top, and up to 1,200 nits HDR brightness and 1,550 nits peak brightness.
The inner screen is OLED, 7.6″ diagonally, with a 6:5 aspect ratio, 2208×1840 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, Ultra Thin Glass with a protective plastic layer on top, and up to 1,000 nits HDR brightness and 1,450 nits peak brightness.
The hinge features “fluid friction across the full 180-degree range of motion to securely support different postures.”
Google Pixel Fold Processor and Storage
The phone is powered by Google’s Tensor G2 SoC with the Titan M2 security coprocessor. It has 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and comes in two storage variants: 256GB and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Google Pixel Fold Camera
The Pixel Fold boasts three rear cameras: a 48 MP main camera with a 1/2″ sensor size, 0.8 μm pixel width, f/1.7 aperture, and OIS, a 10.8 MP ultrawide camera with a 1/3″ sensor size, 1.25 μm pixel width, and f/2.2 aperture, and a 10.8 MP 5x optical zoom telephoto camera with a 1/3.1″ sensor size, 1.22 μm pixel width, f/3.05 aperture, and support for Super Res Zoom up to 20x. On the outer screen, there’s a 9.5 MP fixed focus camera with 1.22 μm pixel width and f/2.2 aperture, while the inner screen gets an 8 MP snapper, also with fixed focus, and 1.12 μm pixel width along with f/2.0 aperture.
Google Pixel Fold Fingerprint Sensor and Security
The Pixel Fold has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button for secure unlocking. It also comes with the Titan M2 security coprocessor to protect your data and sensitive information.
Google Pixel Fold: SIM and Connectivity
The phone supports dual-SIM, but only one physical SIM slot, and the second SIM has to be eSIM. It also has stereo speakers and runs on Android 13. The phone comes with a 4,821 mAh battery that supports Google’s 30W USB-C charger with USB-PD 3.0, which is sold separately (there’s no charger in the box).
Google Pixel Fold: Prize and Availability
The Pixel Fold is already available for pre-order in the US for $1,799 in two colors – Porcelain and Obsidian. It will be available for purchase next month, and those who pre-order the phone will receive a free Pixel Watch.
In the future, the Pixel Fold will be sold through the Google Store in Germany, Japan, and the UK but not in other countries where Google offers its other phones

There is no news about the Pixel Fold coming to India so there is no price reveal either.
